The Journey of GABA Clothing

Our Inspiration

GABA was born out of a desire to transform personal tragedy into a catalyst for hope and healing. After a tragic event in Southport, my sister and I refused to let the incident define our future. Instead, we channelled our energy into supporting local communities that have faced similar hardships. This mission led us to establish GABA clothing, which stands for “Go Anywhere Be Anything.”

We aim to sell products that not only resonate with our personal experiences but also support the GABA Foundation in its efforts to uplift communities. The foundation receives 100% of the net profits to distribute to causes it supports. The foundation also distributes 100% of the funds it receives via donations or sales of the clothing.

The Meaning Behind Our Logo

Creating a logo that truly represents us was a vital step in establishing our brand identity. Each element of our logo has a personal significance:

The Cheeky Monkey: This symbolises my sister’s playful and spirited nature. It serves as a reminder that even in adversity, one can find joy and mischief.

The Scar: This element represents me, highlighting the idea that scars, whether mental or physical, do not detract from one’s ability to experience happiness and playfulness.

The Headphones: Music has always been an essential part of our lives, bringing us peace and happiness. The headphones in our logo symbolise our love for dancing and listening to a diverse range of artists.

Designing Our Brand

Once the logo was finalised, we embarked on the exciting journey of selecting colours and clothing options that would best represent our brand. This process involved exploring various designs and combinations, ensuring that each piece was a true reflection of our vision. We have documented our creative journey, capturing images of us as we navigated through the myriad of selections and colour palettes. Our commitment and passion are embedded in every piece, and we hope that you will appreciate the brand as much as we do.
